Cambridge Electronics and Robotics Academy: Robotics Courses

Robotics Beginners
Aimed at kids with no knowledge of Robotics or Electronics. Kids will learn how to develop projects based on Micro:bit and several sensors within it. They will acquaint themselves to demonstrate their projects at the end of the session and also repeat it in future. Kids will slowly acquire the computational skills to take up complex projects and break it up into smaller milestones.

Robotics Intermediate
Suitable after the Beginners course or for students with some knowledge of Robotics and Electronics. Students will engage in making projects based on external sensors and Micro:bit. Opportunity to use pre-built rovers for performing various projects. The sessions are planned to teach students something new in the context of a real life problem to solve with some differentiated activities that are easy enough for starters to compete and challenging enough to maintain the interest of more proficient young developers.

Robotics Advanced
Suitable after the Intermediate course or for students with good knowledge of Robotics and Electronics. Students will engage in making projects based on external sensors with Micro:bit based on Micro:Python programming. Students will be mentored to make robotics projects including IoT projects based on breadboarding of external sensors, using a pre-built rover and building their own rover.

Experienced Mentor: Curriculum designed and personally mentored by an enthusiast educationalist, aerospace scientist and researcher with more than 30 years of experience in research, academics and R&D industry to unleash your child’s potential and who has now touched more than 3000 students worldwide.
Hands-on Projects: Each session is packed with hands-on projects with emphasis on beauty of science and technology, how sensors work, interfacing, coding, testing, debugging and demonstration.
Assignments: Every session is followed by multiple assignments to reinforce learning. These assignments are to be completed before the next session to get feedbacks from the mentor.
Young Scientist Demonstration: A unique platform provided for the students to showcase their own projects before the start of each session to build presentation and communication skills.
Assessment: Each students is assessed individually to monitor their progress to the next level.
Certification: At the end of each course, students demonstrates a mini-project to receive a certificate of achievement with Mentor’s star.
Tier-Structure: All courses are split into 3- levels for the students to comfortably migrate from one level to the higher level.
Mentoring: Opportunity for the students to be mentored in the field of STEM through their academic endeavour including participation for the national and international competitions and portfolio building for higher education.
